Delete Your Data
Last updated: August 2026
Trackademi respects your right to control your personal data. This page explains how to request deletion of your data from our platform, what is deleted, and what we may be required to retain for legal or accounting reasons.
How to request deletion
- Email support@trackademi.com from the address registered on your account, with the subject line "Data Deletion Request".
- Include your account type (teacher, student, or parent) and the phone number or email linked to the account, so we can verify your identity before deleting anything.
- We acknowledge your request within 7 business days, complete the deletion within 30 days at the latest, and send you written confirmation once it is done.
WhatsApp data
If you linked a WhatsApp number to your teacher account, we store that number, your WhatsApp ID, and a log of which commands you sent the bot (such as "today" or "attendance"). We do not store message content. You can ask us to unlink and delete only this data without deleting your whole account — just say so in your message.
What gets deleted
- Your account details: name, email, phone number, and profile photo.
- Content you created: classes, exams, assignments, files, and materials.
- Attendance and grade records tied to you, and any WhatsApp link data.
- Your preferences, settings, and notification history.
What we may retain
We may keep limited data after deletion, but only where the law requires it or accounting makes it necessary. Such data is isolated and is not used for any other purpose:
- Financial and invoice records, for the period Egyptian law requires.
- Security and audit logs needed to prevent fraud and abuse.
- Academic records a teacher holds about their own student, since deleting those would affect a third party's records; in that case your identity is detached from them.
Timeline
We complete deletion requests within 30 days of verifying your identity. Copies may persist in encrypted backups for up to a further 90 days before being automatically overwritten; they are not accessible or used during that period.
Student and minor accounts
If the account belongs to a student who is a minor, a parent or the responsible teacher may submit the request on their behalf. We will ask for proof of that relationship before deleting anything, to protect the student.
